Two New Pages about Teaching in the Presence of Patients
Last month, we shared our new interview with Dr Kenya Sekoni on Teaching in the Presence of Patients. This month, we want to share two new pages that expand on that theme. “Preparing the Patient” explains how to select and then introduce a patient to a medical student. It also offers insight into what situations patients may find uncomfortable. “Where to Precept” looks at the advantages of precepting in two possible locations: in private and in the exam room.
Teaching in the Presence of Patients is found in the Teaching Strategies section of TeachingPhysician.org.
